Our History
Sand Trap Service Co., Inc. is a family owned and opearated business that started in 1949 by Joe Raines. In 1952, Eldon Beavers purchased the company and now it is curretnly owned by his son and two daughters ( Gary Beavers, Sherry Ruddle, and Terry Galloway).
Our service is in pumping, transporting, and disposal of grease traps from restaurants, sand traps from car washes, truck washes, equipment washes, and industrial non-hazardous liquid waste. Our truck and pump opererators have an average of over 25 years experience with us. We do our best to bring you dependable and efficient service in cleaning traps. We have the right equipment to service your needs whether the job is easy access or hard to reach. Pressure washer machines are available to clean traps thouroghly as well.
All trucks are permitted for transporting by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality and we are also permitted in every North Central Texas area city. Our service area is in the 150-mile radius of the D/FW metro-plex.
Disposal of what we pump is important to us, the customer, and to the public. Sand Trap Service disposes at Cold Springs Processing & Disposal. Cold Springs is a permitted facility by the TCEQ as a type V processing disposal site at 1300 Cold Springs Road in Ft. Worth, Texas. The facility is permitted to receive grease trap, sand trap, and class I & II non-hazardous waste. By-products are retrieved from each waste stream and is re-used for commercial and industrial uses. Solids are filtered out and are processed and tested to be permitted into the sanitary landfills. Water is clarified and released to the city of Ft. Worth water department.
